Passwords
are used to
control access and activity in several areas of the TUG Website:
- The Members-Only
sections of the website. Several key areas of the TUG website are
reserved for TUG Members, such as resort reviews, resort ratings,
permanent swaps and the sales database. Details are given below.
- The TUG
Bulletin Board System is an independent automated
program. You need not be a TUG Member to use the TUG BBS. You must,
however first register with the BBS and receive your BBS password
before you can login or post a message. The UserName and Password used
on the BBS are unique to each user. Details are
given below.

Password Help
for TUG Bulletin Board System
The
TUG Bulletin Board (BBS) is a free independent automated forum program
which is open to all users, both TUG members and non-members.
BBS REGISTRATION
In order to POST messages to the BBS, you must REGISTER
as a user of the BBS and log into your BBS account.
IMPORTANT:
Joining
TUG and obtaining a Member Username and Member Password does NOT
automatically register you for the BBS. You must do this yourself.
Public forums on the BBS may be READ without registering as a BBS user,
or logging into your BBS account.
During BBS registration, you will select a unique BBS UserName and BBS
Password which will allow you to log into your BBS account.
If you already have a username and password
for the
TUG Member-only Areas (discussed above), we suggest you choose the same
username and password for your bbs access, so that the same login
information will work in both areas.
The BBS program then emails the user a confirmation email that must be
acted upon to activate the registration.
If you don't receive this email within a few minutes, click
here.
If you receive this email, but are having trouble activating your
account, click
here.

here to begin the registration process.
UPDATING A KNOWN PASSWORD
If you know your BBS password and can log into
your
account, you may change the BBS password to anything you wish. Please click
here for detailed instructions on this procedure.
NOTE: Changing your bbs information does not
make
changes to your TUG member account. Please use the Email
Update link on our home page to make changes to your TUG
membership information.
LOST PASSWORD
The BBS stores passwords in encrypted form and
will
not reveal them even to the system administrators. Consequently, lost
passwords CANNOT be recovered. There is, however, an
automated procedure for recovering your BBS UserName and having your
BBS Password reset. Please click
here for detailed instructions on this procedure.
If you continue to have problems accessing the BBS, please contact our
volunteer BBS Administrators, via this
form.
