Help with Passwords on TUG
Passwords are used to control access and activity in several areas of the TUG Website:
  • The Members-Only sections of the website. Several key areas of the TUG website are reserved for TUG Members, such as resort reviews, resort ratings, permanent swaps and the sales database. Details are given below.
     
  • The TUG Bulletin Board System is an independent automated program. You need not be a TUG Member to use the TUG BBS. You must, however first register with the BBS and receive your BBS password before you can login or post a message. The UserName and Password used on the BBS are unique to each user. Details are given below.
     
  • The TUG Classified Ads assign a unique password to each person that submits an ad. This assures that only you can make changes to your ad. Details are given below.
In addition, we frequently receive questions about the password for the Timeshare Owners Panel (TOP). This organization is not part of TUG, so any help with TOP passwords must come from TOP.

Members-only Resort Information

Password for TUG Bulletin Board System

The TUG BBS is a free independent automated program open to all users, both TUG members and non-members. Recently we have changed the TUG MEMBER ONLY SECTION login to allow it to match your BBS username and password if you so choose however they ARE separate login systems.
 
Prior to using the TUG BBS the first time, each member must select a unique BBS UserName ( nickname used on the bbs postings ) when registering for the BBS. The BBS program then emails the user an initial password to use only on the BBS, however the user may then change this BBS password to anything he/she wishes by using the User Control Panel and modifying his/her BBS Profile ( use the 'User CP' link when logged on to make changes to your bbs information ) Your unique BBS UserName and BBS Password will be needed to login to the BBS, to post a message, to update your BBS profile, etc.

NOTES:

  • Changing your bbs information does not make changes to the TUG membership information, please use the Email Update link on our home page to make changes to your TUG membership information.
     
  • If you already have a username and password for the TUG Member-only Areas (discussed above), we suggest you choose the same username and password for your bbs access, so that the same login information will work in both areas.

Password for TUG Classified Ads

A unique password is assigned to each individual submitting a TUG Classified Ad. This is your assurance that only you can modify the ads you place.
 
If you need to access your ad and have forgotten your password, fill out the Forgotten Ad Password form near the bottom of the Ads You Placed page. Enter your Ad I.D. number in this form (I.D. is displayed in each ad, also sent to you along with the password when you submitted the ad), and the system will send a password reminder email to the email address on record for that ad.
 
If you are still having problems please send an email to the TUG Ad Manager responsible for your particular ad area to obtain assistance.
