Whether you're looking for a relaxed getaway in the country, on a lake, power shopping at more than 160 factory outlet stores, or sensational sounds of great live country and variety music shows, the answer is Branson--Branson Yacht Club. The BYC is located on the north side of Table Rock Lake and is a new RCI Gold Crown timeshare community. The two bedroom condo interiors are designed by Pamela Temples Interiors of Ft. Lauderdale. Each unit has a screened porch and a beautiful lake view. These are deeded units. There is a restaurant and bar on site and a marina where owners can bring their own boats or rent them from the marina. There are currently two outdoor pools, tennis courts, volleyball, horseshoes and a picnic area. The resort is exactly two miles south of Silver Dollar City and about a 15 minute drive into Branson. If you turn left at Silver Dollar City, Branson West with a WalMart Super Center for grocery and supply shopping is only 4 miles away. The resort is affiliated with RCI, as I said, and all but a few winter weeks are Red Weeks.

Eligibility for this promotion is as follows: 1. Married, over the age of 28 and have matching driver's license and a major credit card for ID purposes. (These were not checked when we were there.) 2. Gainfully employed with a combined annual income in excess of $40,000, or retired with a combined annual income of $35,000. 3. Both husband and wife must tour together and complete an approximate two hour personalized presentation. 4. Not scheduled to tour any other Branson resort. (We later did for tickets to Silver Dollar City) and 5. Have not toured Branson Yacht Club in last 18 months.

We felt the presentation was pretty low-key compared to others we've attended. They told us we could decide to buy at any time, not "offer good today only." (They did offer incentives to lower the price) We were also encouraged to explore our own financing at home.

The mailer sent out had no details of the offer but upon calling them I was told that the package they are offering for attending the 90-minute HGVC timeshare presentation is this:

Room rate of $59/night for a two-night stay at the HGVC resort (HGVC Las Vegas, one of TUG's top ten resorts)(this should be for a studio suite); $60 in gaming chips given to you at the conclusion of your tour (can be turned in any any cashier's window for cash if you do not wish to gamble); and a $25 food credit for the Flamingo Hilton restaurants.

You need to be referred by an HGVC member to get this package for touring. Please e-mail me (George Junak) at georgej@californiaaircheck.com and I'll be happy to turn in your info to HGVC. They are offering me 5000 HHonors points for anyone I refer to them that signs up for the package (limit of 20 tour referals per year); if any of those referals purchases from them, they give me a credit toward my maintenance fee or more HHonors points.

Telemark Resort is offering two night stays in the lodge and seasonally-dependent freebies, such as downhill ski lift tickets, golf greens fees, etc. for touring the resort.  (The last time I checked the stay was free.)  Referrals must meet income guidelines, etc. and take the obligatory 90-minute tour.  I took the tour in 1989; we received two free nights and two days' lift tickets for two adults.  For referring you I will get a $40 credit toward maintenance fees or to use at the restaurant, golf course, boat rental, ski shop, etc.
